Mohave County elected officials pose with Colorado River Republican Forum President Damian Holther Saturday, March 7, following a presentation from Mohave County Sheriff Tom Sheahan. Pictured are (from left) Dist. 2 Mohave County Supervisor Tom Sockwell, Holther, Sheahan , Arizona Rep. Nancy McLain, Arizona Rep. Doris Goodale and Mohave County Recorder Carol Meier. Sheahan discussed his agency's focus of patrolling the Colorado River and a recent attempt by state parks to sweep funds from waterways law enforcement. He warned against a federal bill sponsored by Congressman Bobby Rush of Chicago to force firearms owners to carry identification cards. “It's a chipping away at our 2 nd Amendment rights,” he said. Sheahan also discussed issues concerning Colorado City and explained that the Sheriff's Office and Mohave County are, in spite of the economic downturn, in good shape because of good fiscal management. Goodale and McLain also gave updates on activities and issues at the Arizona Legislature. |

Robotics Competition,
an exciting, multinational competition
